They're Back!

It seems like forever, I know.......

Things here continue to be busy, very blessed, but busy, let's just say it hurts every time I feel my car with gas (as much as two-three times a week). Not sure where I left off one or two years ago but I will catch everyone up for a moment.

Let's begin with Blake.......

He began graduate studies at Appalachian State University and should graduate this December with a Master's in Accountancy. Everything is going well for him so far.

On to Austin......

He began his second year at Camden Military Academy and will graduate in May (all fingers and toes are crossed for luck). Austin has applied to our local technical college to further his studies but all is still open at this point, just glad he is thinking a bit ahead. This year Austin is one of the starters for CMA Varsity Soccer team. We try real hard to make it to all the games that are somewhat close. All the boys seems to enjoy having an audience of three yelling for CMA. I feel really bad thinking most of the boy's parents are too far away to visit or participate in the day-to-day activities. So we make extra efforts to get to the games to show support or simply drop by school to say "hello".

And little McKenzie....

Wow, busy, busy, busy and even busier. It may be easier to say what she doesn't do.....let's see....football! That's because I wouldn't let her. Just Kidding (no not really).....She has weekly, tutoring, Jazz Dancing, Middle School Cheerleader, Soccer, Gymnastics and we must not forget homework, oh and traveling to soccer games while doing homework, eating and reading. She did give up ballet this year. Thank goodness she is a dedicated little person and simply can go with the flow while completing what she knows must get done.

And last but not least.....our Siamese cat.... Chelsea and our black cocker spaniel.....Sam.....

14 year old Chelsea is still hanging in there with no claws living outside year round. Whoever said cats have nine lives was right....she has hurdled a bunch on them already and when we think it is near, she bounces right back. Poor 8 year old Sam has followed the Gouge family with thyroid issues, diagnosed about three months ago. I can now say poor Sam takes more meds than any one in our family! And we had to start him on a diet. No more popcorn for him. What we do for our pets.

The Weekend Wofford Style

We had a wonderful yet very busy weekend with McKenzie and her three good friends from Friday Art to Sunday School with a lot of Wofford fun in the middle. Mom had just about as much fun as the girls! (we had to leave dad behind cause he started coming down with something)
Blake even joined in the fun after the game for dinner at the Mellow Mushroom. Thank you Blake for joining us and being proud of having a little sister, with friends!

The Weekend Wofford Style (2)

Going down the Wofford Hill!
The Girls!
After a day "boarding on the Wofford "slopes"
The original art (before the slopes).

The Weekend Wofford Style (3)

McKenzie Lehmans
Bankston Wallace
Anna Shurman
and Ann Collins Josey
all supported Wofford
against the Mountaineers of ASU!
Great close game until the end.
Hard loss for Wofford which led until the 4th quarter (44-34).
